13 March 2016 - Sunday

Rod Picott

The long-awaited return of Rod Picott, purveyor of “Americana of the highest order.”  Rod is an exceptional songwriter, and we were delighted to present him in 2005 and again in 2009.  Currently on tour in the U.K., the Netherlands, Norway, Ireland, and Italy, Rod has a newly released album, Fortune.

24 April 2016 - Sunday

Jay Aymar

Well traveled Canadian chronicler of the many lives he’s encountered over a long and critically acclaimed performing career.  A bit of Leonard Cohen, maybe a touch of Woody Guthrie, but a great voice in his own package.

28 May 2016 - Saturday

Peter Case

Began his career in San Francisco in the mid-70s, and he embodies a great swath of musical styles from before and since.  In his own words, he is: a singer/ songwriter that uses all the American styles to get my stories across: Blues, RocknRoll, Country, Soul, R&B & Folk, plus some rhythmic influences from around the world. I'm trying to forge my own style out of those inherited materials...I've always been into dynamic emotionally charged music you could use to tell a story or paint a picture.

7 August 2016 - Sunday

The Kennedys

Pete & Maura make yet another triumphant return - still celebrating their Triple CD release.  The Kennedys play-list of originals and revealing covers, with the outstanding combination of Maura’s voice and Pete’s guitar, produces a performance not to be missed.

2 October 2016 - Sunday

Pat Donohue

After wrapping up almost twenty years as the guitarist and songwriter on “A Prairie Home Companion” Grammy winning fingerpicker Pat Donohue’s is coming to our stage.  His devotion to acoustic guitar has made him an American standard, as he echoes the tones of Robert Johnson, Charlie Parker, Merle Travis or Muddy Waters.

House concerts at the Sleepy Hollow Folk Club provide the chance to enjoy live music in an intimate setting.  Our fine performers are drawn from throughout North America and beyond, and appear regularly at clubs, festivals, and other large stages. The Sleepy Hollow Folk Club venue was highlighted in the October 2002 Washington Post Weekend Section's "House Music" article. Performances at the Sleepy Hollow Folk Club typically consist of two 45-minute sets and always include plenty of opportunities to talk with the musicians. We host a pot luck dinner before the show and dessert and coffee between sets.  Any food or drinks you would like to bring always are very welcome, but not absolutely required. Please e-mail us to get on our distribution list for announcements of future concerts.
